For the past 20 years, the Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s Nature Program has been educating guests and residents to the wonders of the sea through our Ocean Seining program. This program is a hands–on approach to marine science led by our Island Naturalists. It gives children and adults an up close look at the creatures inhabiting our coastal waters while highlighting the fragile nature and dynamics of our marine food web.
Now this program is doing more than just educating families. For the next two months,
25% of our Ocean Seining proceeds will go toward helping the fragile Gulf Coast marine creatures that are affected by the oil spill.Proceeds will benefit “Save our Seabirds”, a Florida based organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of sea birds.
