Earth Day Festival
Saturday April 12, 2003
Come join us for a day of wonderful environmental activities and games for the entire family! A 5K Fun Run & Walk in the morning followed by an open-air festival. Environmental speakers, native plant groupings, kayak trips, birdhouse building, and much more will be offered. Organizations and vendors from around the Lowcountry will be available to answer your questions and teach about their environmental efforts. A kid’s corner will be filled with environmentally friendly projects and games.
Lunch will be available at the festival site.
Time: 7:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m. 5K Fun Run & Walk Registration 8:15 a.m. Start of 5K Fun Run & Walk 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. Festival Activities and Games Venue: Night Heron Nature Park Cost: Festival Entry FREE 5K Fun Run & Walk $12.50* (ages 13 and up) $10.00* (ages 5-12) FREE* (ages 4 and under) *cost includes an Earth Day t-shirt and light refreshments after the run.
