In October, dozens of Johns Island residents met with Charleston County Roadwise staff about solving traffic woes on the island.

Roadwise, which manages transportation projects funded by the half-cent sales tax, is hosting an open meeting tonight to share the findings from the initial public session four months ago.

The meeting will be 6-8 p.m. in the St. Johns High School Auditorium at 1518 Main Road.

Johns Islanders can see what the design staff has come up with for relieving traffic problems, and they also can give their input.

The October meeting and tonight's were scheduled to update a 2001 feasibility study about possibly building a cross-island parkway. Maybank Highway, Bohicket Road and River Road were the boundaries of the area studied.
