Kiawah is bright and sunny this morning, though still a wee bit chilly.

Here we are at the end of another year - hard to believe it is New Year's Eve, is it not?  If you are celebrating the coming of the new year by going out on the town, please drive safely!

Weather: It is 49 degrees at 9:15 this morning. It should be pleasant and sunny today, with highs in the low sixties, lows in the upper forties.  There is a 20% chance of rain both today and tonight.

December 28, 2007 Week-end Edition

It is mostly overcast on Kiawah this morning, with occasional glimpses of blue sky.  The week-end looks like it will be a bit damp beginning on Saturday afternoon, so it should be a good time to take in all the college football bowl games!

That is a nearly 20 degree change from yesterday morning!  Friday's high is supposed to near seventy.  The low should be in the upper fifties with a 20% chance of rain.  Highs Saturday in the low seventies 40% chance of showers, lows in the mid-fifties with a 50% chance.  Sunday should bring us a high in the low sixties with a 70% chance of rain. Kiawah is overcast again this morning, but if you look closely you can see patches of blue sky in the distance. Even though the holidays are gone it will be warm enough to enjoy some "outdoor time", so we have something to celebrate!

Sunset on Kiawah We have overcast skies today, but it should clear enough to have a wonderful sunset this evening. Do you have a photo you would like to share? Click here to send it.

It is overcast and gray on Kiawah this morning. It looks like a day to grab a good book and snuggle under the blankets with a cup of cocoa.

** Happy Kwanzaa! **

** Happy Boxing Day! **

Kwanzaa is a 7 day festival celebrating the African American people, their culture and their history. It is a time of celebration, community gathering, and reflection. A time of endings and beginnings.

Today is also the second day of Christmas, and in the Bahamas, it is Junkanoo! Junkanoo is a 300 year-old festival , and is like Mardi Gras with African tribal rituals. It is a HUGE party, full of music, art and fierce costume competition. So why not select your favorite holiday, grab your family and friends, and celebrate anew? Have a great day everyone...

Weather: It is 45 degrees at 9:15 this morning. No rain is forecasted for today, but it will be cool.  Highs in the mid-fifties, lows in the low forties.
