September 30, 2011 Week-end Edition
Kiawah is back to her normal sunny self this morning. While today is
forecasted to be quite warm, the temperature is supposed to drop
considerably by Saturday.
Everyone will certainly enjoy the cooler weather this
week-end.
It looks like it will be in the seventies, quite a change
from the weather we have been experiencing in September. Of course
tomorrow is the start of October
already! (Where did the time go?)

Doe and buck at bird bath Kathy
says, "The doe stood by waiting until the buck in the background
finished drinking and started to move away until she took her turn
getting a drink of fresh water from the bird bath. Although I fill them
up every evening they are empty by morning. It appears many animals stop
by for a drink during the hot weather." So not only do our
feathered friends use bird baths, our deer do too!
Week-end Weather: It is 70 degrees at 9:00 Friday morning.

Happy Jewish New Year! Rosh Hashanah began last night at sundown. It is the Jewish New Year, and is typically
celebrated with family gatherings, special meals and sweet tasting foods. It marks the beginning of the spiritual
calendar and the birth of the world. It serves as a reminder of the
special relationship between God and his children, now and always.
And it calls us to look within ourselves – to repent for our sins;
recommit ourselves to prayer; and remember the blessings that come
from helping those in need. So L’shana Tova Tikatevu – may you be
inscribed and sealed in the Book of Life.
