a wee bit C-O-L-D! When it is this cold out, the pelicans certainly
seem to spend a lot of time inside - the island! They are floating around
by the dozens on the various lagoons and ponds. Guess the water at the
beach is too cold for them too!

Kiawah is cloudy again this morning. But on
this day of all days, that is a GOOD thing. After all, it IS Groundhog
Day! A Kiawah groundhog "Kiawah Coon", could not have seen its
shadow this morning - guess this means that Kiawah will only have four
more weeks of winter!" Punxsutawney Phil" up in Pennsylvania did not see
his shadow this morning either, and also predicted an early spring.
